Daily Goals:
- 10 hrs effective working time, 4 hrs on easy days
- Over 80% nights are with optimal sleep
- Zero out tan@tanli.dev email account
Weekly Goals:
- 5 Workouts per Week
Principles of Setting up a Cadence¶
- Decision criteria: Make something that people(business) want to pay for.
- Over 50% on the main thing, if the main thing not clear, I am just a random hacker, not a founder.
- Important side quests are allowed, encouraged, and budgeted.
- Experimenting with different solutions to problem, quick wins
- Keeping up to date on industry trends/papers/news/people
- Networking with potential custs/hires
- Monthly cadence rather than quarterly cadence
Proposed Monthly Cadence:
- Week 1: Plan -- Investor Emails, Design/POC
- Week 2: Build -- Make it work, Deploy it stably
- Week 3: Test -- Get feedbacks from friends, Make it good
- Week 4: Launch -- Learn/Try one new thing from the todo list
Every Weekend:
- Reflect on what I shipped, what went well, what did not go well
- Identify what help I need AND ASK FOR IT
- Cut one obligation/inefficiency
- Look ahead and plan the next month/quarter, esp travel
Every Day:
- Answer all high pri emails & DMs
- Recap most important thing that happened in my domain for audience
- Workout, Eat Well & Sleep Well
